See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna
Seeing a woman of color validate my experiences meant more to me than words can express. Before Korra came along, I was unconsciously taught by the media that these kinds of things only happen to white people. I felt so alone until Korra and her spiritual journey told me I wasn’t.

I got onto Tumblr at around 12:40 AM or so not even thinking about the possibility of spoilers and immediately seeing several gif sets of the last scene with the words “canon,” “bisexual” and “canon bisexuality” plastered all over them. With that kind of information in my brain, of course there was no way I was going to wait until after work the next day to watch the finale.

You’re not trying for Korra. You’re not going up to bat for my girl or her team, and I’m frankly ticked off about it. You’ve rescheduled her. You’ve lost viewership in an age of DVR and viewers watching online (something you expected and still somehow punished her for). Episodes from her third season get leaked and you freak out. You release too many episodes at once with next to no time for advertising. Then, you pull her down with no notice or explanation. Then somewhere in that fuck-nado you cut Korra’s budget so the team has one less episode to tell her story. We have to devote an entire episode to this clip BS because you don’t know what to do with her.

GIRLs ON FIRE - 2012

Hope Summers (the new pheonix in the Marvel universe), Katniss Everdeen (from The Hunger Games), Korra (from Avatar: The Legend of Korra), and Daenerys Targaryen (from a song of Ice and fire). 4 of the best female characters nowadays in comics, movies, tv series and literature.

The idea came obviously from the title Katniss has on the Hunger games, but also because all of this characters have a relation to fire. They all have powers based on fire and they all have explosive personalities.
