See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna
Here I will pause to note how much I love that Sleepy Hollow has a rich female socialite character who’s not presented as some Paris Hilton-esque bubblehead. Lena is sensible. She’s good at historical research. Hell, she’s interested in historical research in the first place. I have similar feels about Cynthia, because she’s not some “shrew ex-wife” stereotype. Good on you, show.

One of the reasons Ichabod assumes Andy won’t turn on them is because of his crush on Abbie. “But Miss Mills is wonderful! Everyone wishes to be the subject of her romantic gaze. And, feeling affection toward her, surely even the most demonic of fiends would cease any attempts to obey their Satanic overlords and do anything that might upset her.” He and Raleigh Becket should start a club. They can go halfsies on an Abbie/Mako shrine.

Let me get this straight. Abbie told Ichabod that the Masons’ sexist rule “gets under her skin.” Once he’s made aware of the situation he says “Well, OK, I’ll get these guys”—his allies, sort of his friends, people who he needs to stay in good with because they know things he doesn’t, people who probably won’t listen to Abbie—”to stop being jerks.” And the writers just drop that bit of information in a voicemail like it’s no big deal, which it shouldn’t be, because it’s the *just decent thing to do.* They could easily have gone the “Everyone was sexist in history. For him not to be he must be an exceptionally great guy! Let’s have Abbie thank him for how very not-sexist he is.” route, and they didn’t. It’s like in the pilot when Ichabod said he supported abolition and Abbie was like “What, you want a medal?” I love this show.

I honestly never imagined I would actually get to do this. No, like seriously. I never imagined as a black, African-American 20-something, I would be able to do this. You just don’t see it. It’s just not a reality. When they called me in, I read it and I was like, “Okay, cool, this is great.” I never saw myself as someone who would be able to tote a gun and be also in a fantasy piece, but I welcome it with open arms because I grew up on comic books and action films… I love those things, but I’ve never seen myself as a representative. So hats f***ing off, hats off to Bob and Alex and Fox for saying, “We’re going to cast this girl as the gun toting apocalyptic crusader and witness.” It’s amazing.
