The hosts of The View don’t know that writing is a talent, delivering a monologue is a talent, and that nurses wear stethoscopes. They also seem really attached to an old-school vision of what Miss America is supposed to be about. Rather than celebrating the fact that one of the contestants is so committed to her medical career that she chose to incorporate that into her talent—rather than celebrating that Johnson is not only a beautiful woman, but one with job that requires not only skill, but compassion—they chose to reduce her to a joke as a talking point on their show.
