Coming soon - Sailor Moon hair clips!

We’ve received numerous requests for hairclips. So we have put our 3d printer to work. These hairclips are printed from pearly white plastic and are a little different than your standard hairclips. There winged part attaches to the metal alligator clip by neodymium magnets. This allows for lots of versatility, and makes them really easy to place and position in your hair. You can actually hide the metal clip within your hair, and place the winged part over top of it (as illustrated in the first picture). They are also fairly light weight and comfortable, I often forget that I am wearing them! ^___^;; We kind of went through all our plastic while we were printing our prototypes, so we hope to have them up in the shop next month. We plan to sell them for $25/pair.

Also, just a reminder that I opened some pre-orders for most compacts and necklaces.

We just want it on record that we think this is a brilliant use of neodymium magnets and we would like the hair accessory industry to explode with more items like this.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kill Bill, it’s a two part Quentin Tarantino series featuring Uma Thurman as the Bride, neé Beatrix Kiddo, an assassin newly awakened from a coma who sets out to kill all the people who put her in it and took her unborn child, including the child’s father, Bill. In some of the most famous fight scenes in the series, she wears a yellow tracksuit with black stripes, while Flight of the Bumblebee plays in the background.

If you’re unfamiliar with parasite wasps, they’re the xenomorphs of the wasp world, in the genus Braconidae. Every insect in Braconidae has one thing in common: they lay their eggs in the sometimes still living bodies of their prey, so that when the babies hatch they’re already inside their first meal. New species Cystomastacoides kiddo has indeed been named after Beatrix, and yes, it is indeed bright yellow. Usually, watching a NASA rocket launch from your home is something reserved for Floridians, but tonight, that’s an honor offered to a huge swath of the Northeastern American coast (if those pesky clouds stay out of the way). So if you find yourself gazing towards the Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia (as you often do of an evening, longingly, and with hope fluttering in your heart), and you see some scattered red contrails, know that we are not being invaded by aliens. It’s just NASA running space tests on our upper atmosphere! In fact, if you live anywhere within the yellow circle below, you’ve got a chance at seeing it:
